Bangladesh has faced Scotland in the opening match of the World Cup. Fielding decided to win the toss. The bowlers are proving the decision of captain Mahmudullah Riyadh right at least in the early overs. Saifuddin took the first blow in the Scotland innings.
In the opening over, the ball was handed to Taskin Ahmed by captain Mahmudullah. He also rewarded the leader’s confidence with a total of four runs. Then Mustafizur Rahman came to attack. Kipte did an over, gave a total of runs.
Taskin-Mustafiz put pressure on the Scots with five runs in the first two overs. Then Saifuddin increased the pressure with the first three ball dots.
Then a great delivery. Opposing captain Kyle Quetzer made the ball in the blockhole. Had it not been for the previous pressure, the Scottish captain might have wanted to stop it, but he did not. Wanted to make a place to play, if the run comes! Not only that, he lost the opposite wicket. Playing in the wrong line, the ball hit the outer corner of the bat, then broke the stumps. That is why Saifuddin took the first wicket of Bangladesh in the current World Cup. Quetzer returned with seven balls to spare before opening the scoring.
