New Zealand were bowled out for 296 in the first innings of the Kanpur Test. So India got a lead of 49 runs. Kohli scored 345 in the first innings.

However, New Zealand’s first wicket in the match was 151 runs. The Indian spinners have been showing dominance since the second session. He is the first Indian bowler to take five wickets five times in so few matches. Towards the end of the third day, India went down to bat in the second innings and lost one wicket for 14 runs.
