A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has shaken China’s Sichuan province. At least three people were killed and 59 injured.

The quake struck at 4:30 am on Thursday. It is reported to have hit about 120 kilometers southwest of Chongqing’s vast megacity, which is home to about 30 million people, including its surroundings.
The quake-hit province of Qinghai in northwestern China and Yunnan province in southwestern China are prone to earthquakes.
The US Geological Survey put the quake’s magnitude at 5.4, but the China Earthquake Networks Center said the quake had a magnitude of 6.0. It reaches a depth of 10 km.
According to a Chinese news agency, the administration has sent emergency workers to the Luozhou City area. It has also been informed that the situation is being investigated. Officials believe a few houses may have been damaged.
