Arsenal last won in the Premier League last November against Manchester United. After playing five more matches, the Gunners did not win, losing four of them and drawing only one. The last loss came last night against Burnley at the Emirates. Arsenal are 15th in the points table after losing 0-1 to Burnley in a suicide goal by Abameyong.
Arsenal created several chances at the start of the match at the Emirates, but the Gunners suffered from not being able to do the last. In the first half, both teams made some great attacks and counter-attacks but in the end neither of them scored a goal. And so the first 45 minutes remained goalless.
The Gunners took a big hit in the second half. The referee first showed a yellow card to Arsenal’s Granit Shaka for tackling Burnley’s McNeil in the 58th minute. However, later with the help of VAR, the referee saw Shaka holding McNeil’s neck while tackling and so the referee showed Shaka a red card.
The Gunners were fighting Burnley at home with a team of 10 men. However, he could not stop Burnley for too long. Burnley got a free kick in front of Arsenal’s D-box for fouling Tarkowski in the 62nd minute of the match. Westwood came to get the set piece, Westwood sent a great freak inside the ball and Arsenal captain Abameyung headed to free his freak. Abameyang wrapped the ball in his own net to save the ball from danger. And that’s where Burnley gets the lead.
With no more goals for the rest of the match, Abamenga’s only suicide goal was a 1-0 loss to Burnley, leaving Arsenal on the field. Earlier, Tottenham Hotspurs lost 2-0; 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers; Arsenal lost 3-0 to Aston Villa. The Gunners drew 0-0 with Leeds. At this rate, Arsenal is ranked 15th with four wins in 12 league games, a draw and 13 points at seven rates.
